Troop 537 is a non-profit organization and a Boy Scouts troop, associated with Boy Scouts of America. The troop is scout-led, with assistance from adult leaders. The youth leadership of Troop 537 is dedicated to teaching the younger scouts about everything they need to be prepared in life, and helps them learn and advance in their skills related to camping, hiking, first-aid, ethics, how to help others, and life skills.
Troop 537 was founded back in the summer of 2011. So far, there have been over 20 Eagle scouts!
Our troop makes sure the scouts learn all the life skills to be prepared for any situation. Rather than making it very easy for scouts to advance in ranks, our troop makes sure that scouts understand the skills they have displayed, and through this, scouts are able to improve on their skills and learn from their mistakes, making them a better person, citizen, and most importantly, a great leader.
Throughout the year, Troop 537’s scouts engage in hands-on activities in outdoor campouts, hikes, backpacking trips, snow camping trips, and service projects. Scouts also learn more advanced skills by fulfilling merit badges, which show that a scout has shown merit and thoroughly understands and has mastered a major skill.
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the largest scouting organizations and one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with about 1.2 million youth participants.

The stated mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to “prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.” Youth are trained in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations.
